Band Of Mercy – Conquest – Mini Review

By James Terry  //  Music Reviews  //  No Comments

Conquest marks the second EP from vegan hardcore outfit Band of Mercy. Six new tracks proclaiming vegan superiority, personally I find the content half humorous because it is so hardline that it feels gimmicky. Seriously the first three songs had me laughing that I almost couldn’t focus on the tunes. The latter half at least feels a little less ridiculously straight forward. Overall the blend of punk hardcore that Band of Mercy plays is great, the vocal delivery is solid, the lyrics just seem to distract from my enjoyment. Perhaps because I am not vegan, so I probably hate myself. Hey maybe they can get Daniel Bryan to use a tune for his ring music and lead the vegan conquest. YES! YES! YES! Welp, had to work that in here, overall solid hardcore with a real gimmicky flair unless your hardline vegan this probably won’t do much for you and you probably hate yourself. [James Terry]
