Interview Type: Email
Hey Guys, can we start off by asking you to tell us your names and what you do in the band?
Andrew – Vocals/Guitar.
Robby – Bass.
Mike – Guitar/Vocals.
Chris – Drums.
We really enjoyed your self released EP “The Sketch Process” as well as your more recent label backed EP “That’s What She Said.” How was the writing and recording different between the two?
We actually used some of the same songs for both albums. They were put out only 6 months apart from each other but the writing and recording was fairly similar.
We are also looking forward to your full-length that will (hopefully) come out in 2009. How is that coming along?
Great! It is actually finished and titled “Off The Deep End” and comes out June 9th.
What is it like to work with Emanuel Kiriakou producing the record?
Incredible. He is one of the most talented and influential people I have ever met. Working with him was like a dream come true.
Hearing your early work I put you in my “best of the unsigned” list at the time. And since you have been signed (Photo Finish) and gotten more exposure such as being on TRL/MTV, how does it feel to shoot into popularity and have people addicted to your up-beat pop rock?
It is a really cool feeling. It is a long road to gain more widespread popularity but it has been so awesome to reach new fans.
What are some of your greatest musical influences?
Oasis, Third Eye Blind, Jimmy Eat, World, Nirvana, Blink 182
What is playing on your mp3 players/stereos right now?
Enrique Iglesias, Better Than Ezra, and Kris Allen.
How was your current tour with Automatic Loveletter and Cursive going?
The past tour was great. They were both really cool bands to tour with and it was fun going on our first actual tour.
Where is one of your favorite places to stop and eat while on the road?
Sheetz and Wawa! Subway as well.
What is something you guys can’t live without while touring?
My ipod and Nintendo DS.
Thanks for taking the time out to answer our questions! Is their anything you would like to say to the readers of So, Bring On Mixed Reviews?
Check out our new cd out June 9th! Keep it real.
