Eisley – The Valley – Review

Leave it to a five-piece rock band from Texas to be made up entirely of family members (four siblings, one cousin) and be fans of Star Wars —  as those who enjoy the oddly shaped aliens playing futuristic instruments in the Mos Eisley Cantina scene can attest. Eisley began simply enough in 1997 as an after-church activity when most of its members were fairly young, but since then this family affair has blossomed over the last decade+ by getting signed to a major label (Reprise Records), releasing some attention-grabbing EPs, as well as some well received full-lengths. The most notable was 2007′s “Combinations,” which would be the bands last album with a major tagging along — deciding to start anew 4 years later with their latest record “The Valley” on popular indie label, Equal Vision Records. read more
