Thirteen tracks of blistering hardcore that barely clocks in at an average of a minute and fifteen seconds a song or so create Swamp Thing’s newest effort, In Shame. The Richmond based hardcore band’s debut “full length” shows them to be a harsh, venomous hardcore band in the vein of Outbreak or Trash Talk. In typical hardcore album fashion, the whole record is over in the blink of an eye if you’re not paying attention. Return From Exile have signed with Standby Records. Return From Exile will enter the studio again in mid April to finish recording their self titled Standby debut album with Zack Ohren (All Shall Perish, As Blood Runs Black, Conducting From the Grave, etc.) with a release date slated for late summer. read more

To put it bluntly and from the very beginning, Caravan Of Thieves is not the sort of music that you can just jump right into. I would like to think that I am a journeyman when it comes to all things rock, indie, folk; but even I had to sit and prepare myself for this rag tag group of fours latest album “Bouquet.” Listed as “Acoustic, Swing, and Other” on their Myspace, you might not be able to properly imagine what they actually sound like. And while I will say that I applaud the passion and personal dedication that went into its making, it just might be too off the beaten path for most to consider it over say, anything else. read more
